I just finished a huge work project so I gave myself a half hour to putter around. I decided to try a recipe in one of the Eat Clean Diet books for a green smoothie involving kale, parsley, fresh pineapple, ginger, wheatgrass (which I skipped because I don’t have any), lime, avocado, almond milk, and protein powder.
You’re supposed to juice the leafy stuff and fruit and then blend it with the rest afterwards. I don’t have a juicer so I just went the food processor/blender route and it was super labor intensive. The end result tastes like grass…. Virtuous grass, but still grass. I guess I’ll attempt this again one day if I ever get an actual juicer.
I ordered a strawberry-mango smoothie at this pan-Asian restaurant and it came out with tapioca bubbles at the bottom. Not mad at that!
Afternoon snack at the Frothy Monkey coffeehouse, to which I was drawn because of the name: iced coffee with almond milk (!) and a gluten-free, no-sugar added almond butter cookie
We drove to Memphis to do cheesy music touristy stuff today and tomorrow. I just hopped out of the car in front of a Starbucks and got this berry hibiscus “refresher” thing? Anyways, off to the Gibson guitar factory.
Just had to share this drink they were serving at a seasonal tasting dinner I went to at a restaurant on the beach on Thursday. The colors made me happy! It was mashed dragon fruit and mango pulp mixed with vodka and garnished with starfruit. You could skip the vodka obviously. (I just had a couple sips and then held it in my hand so nobody would try to serve me more, hah.)
Can I just get an IV drip of this already?
This was the best post workout shake/liquid meal: a frozen cubed mango, a cup of coconut water, vanilla whey, and ice.
Dyinnnngggggg of heat today in Brooklyn. I have no idea what this pink punch is.

Just stopped at a Starbucks and realized it’s literally been YEARS since I allowed myself to have a frappucino… I got a mocha light. Kind of pathetic how excited I am to drink this omg
