I’m on a weird kick of eating almond-stuffed dates as a pre-workout snack…
Afternoon snack/mini meal/whatever: avocado slices and spicy hummus on gluten-free toast
I got a smoothie made from just mango, dragon fruit, and ice!
Early evening snack: peach Chobani, fresh peach chunks, and some almonds. I’m headed to a baseball game in a bit — Marlins vs. Nationals, not my teams or even league of choice, but the tickets were free. There’s going to be food but I definitely don’t want to show up starving.
It’s really freaking hot out.
Post-workout snack before I get dinner together….
I’m on my way to a photo shoot that is probably going to run on hip-hop time (i.e. hours late) so I grabbed this from Starbucks as an emergency snack to keep in my purse. (Photo shoot craft tables/catering=minefields of poor choices.) There is no way this raw granola is going to be worth the $4 I accidentally paid for it (whoops) but hopefully it’s good.
I think half the reason I lift is so I can drink a fruit/protein shake afterwards…. Just like half the reason I get out of bed in the morning is to have breakfast.
Spicy chicken finger lettuce wrap!
This is one of the baked almond-crusted chicken fingers from yesterday covered in hot sauce, and wrapped in a lettuce leaf with some shredded cole slaw mix for extra crunch. Clocks in at about 130ish calories, 20 g protein, 3 g carbs, 1 g fiber.
Awesome snack: plain Greek yogurt, blueberries, and a TB of slivered almonds
