This Body Attack video almost made me barf.

It’s here: Body Attack 68 — the site’s in Chinese so I couldn’t find the embed code.

Before joining the gym I joined, I should have honestly thought twice about the fact that it shares a parking garage with a mall and movie theater where everyone in a 10-mile radius flocks when it rains…

Anyways, I skipped the gym today and while trawling the various not-that-legal sites for some cardio videos I decided to try Body Attack. We don’t really have Les Mills classes anywhere around here so I had never tried it and… Whoa. CRAZY )!@(*!)@*@ KIWIS!

The music on this one is really … SOMETHING. (I had no idea it was possible to make Cascada’s “Evacuate the Dance Floor” faster and more anxiety-producing.) However, holy shit is this an insane cardio workout. I consider myself, ya know, relatively fit in the cardiovascular realm, and, flashbacks to Crossfit metcon workouts past, I thought I was gonna meet Pukey a couple times.

Anyone out there really into this IRL? I can’t imagine doing it more than once or twice a week.

Confirmed: all the workout videos are GONE from Netflix.

WHAT GIVES NETFLIX??

Okay so they didn’t have a *huge* selection but I did like some of the old Crunch videos and a few other yoga and dance-type workouts. They’re still available as DVDs — which seems like a ploy to get you to pay the extra $8 for DVD service above Instant. Boooo. I *do* have the DVD service but I want to be able to queue up a workout without waiting for it to arrive in the mail.

Back to YouTube!

Twentysomething female. Florida.

Just trying to stay healthy, fit, and sane in a world that is often none of these.

This blog is about healthy food, fitness, body image, self care, recovery, weightlifting, and all that kind of stuff.

After years of obsessive calorie-counting, bad habits, and worse self-image, I'm choosing to get better... So bear with me as I retool this blog a bit.
